New Season: The fabulous 80-year-old model village and railway reopens for the year. It's a great place to visit for all ages and the annual pass is excellent value. Open 10am-5pm from 16 Feb to end Oct. More.

Museum of St Albans

Knickerbockers: the Museum of St Albans is offering a week of silly words and serious objects. Children will explore some of the strangest words from history. Daily from 10.30am - 12.30pm

  • Monday - Egyptian Words
  • Tuesday - Roman Words
  • Wednesday - Tudor Words
  • Thursday - Victorian Words
  • Friday - 23rd Century Words

Children can use these sessions to learn words that will be used at our Ragamuffin Spelling Bee on Saturday 23rd Feb. Each session costs £5 per child or can book all five for £20. Call 01727 751810 to book or for more information.

Radlett Centre

Milkshake: Joining this fantastic line up will be two milkshake! presenters, who will take you on a magical Milkshake! adventure; bound to dazzle and delight. The show features songs, classic favourites and funky dance moves, plus plenty of laughter, bags of audience interaction and bucket loads of fun for all the family too. At 1.30 & 4pm. Tickets £13.

Really Wild Adventures: Adapted from her own book of children’s poetry, popular TV presenter Michaela Strachan will take families on a delightful journey through an alphabet jungle of animal rhymes.

From Antelopes to Zebras, from Orphaned Orangutans to Polar bear dentistry, this is a whistle stop interactive show full of poetry, dancing, music and lots of fascinating wildlife facts. Directed by award-winning Malachi Bogdanov. Suitable for children aged 3 – 8 (& Key Stage 1). At 2pm. Tickets £12

Free Family Discovery Morning: Paws and Claws - Discover animals big and small in the most unusual places around the Cathedral. From 10am - 12.30pm. Free (donations gratefully received).

Jubilee Centre

Parent & Child Cupcake Class: Come along to this parent and child cupcake decorating class and learn to decorate some cupcakes. You will get 6 cupcakes each and be taught how to pipe the cupcakes and make basic cut out decorations to go on top. Suitable for ages 5 and up. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
