Food and Drink Festival 2015

Food and Drink Festival 2015

This year's St Albans and Harpenden Food and Drink Festival kicks off on Tues 22 Sep for two weeks.
The festival showcases the fantastic range of food, drink and produce available throughout the district, as well as offering workshops, behind-the-scenes experiences and tastings.

A new venture for junior chefs and chefs-to-be, is the #KidsCookalong. The idea is to get every child under 16 in the district to have the opportunity to enjoy making and eating good, healthy food.

Bakers young and old can also contribute to the BakeOff from 26 September - 2 October at the Bakehouse.

Throughout the 14-day festival, local venues will be opening their doors for a range of events and activities.

It is expected that around 12,000 visits will be made to artists and craftspeople in their studios across Hertfordshire this September.

Organised by Herts Visual Arts and their team of dedicated volunteers, the event aims to introduce artists to the public, galleries and other enterprises, bringing an awareness of the diversity of talent available throughout the county...

Tickets can be bought at either venue and are valid for up to a year, allowing people to stagger their visits. They are available for adults, children, family groups and concessions.
