Butterfly World Project

Easter Activities: Choose from Insect handling, storytelling, Ant World talks, face painting, felt butterfly making, egg box caterpillars, sand art, dance demos, bug hotels and much more. See the full list of events.


Willows Farm Village

Easter Eggstravaganza: Enjoy a choc-o-bloc programme of indoor and outdoor activities including Easter Egg Hunt, Bunny Hunt, Falconry, the Farmyard Favourites area, Adventure Play, Woolly Jumpers indoor play barn, Puppet Show, Storytime and free chocolate treats for the kids.


Bekonscot Model Village

The fabulous 80-year-old model village and railway is a great place to visit for all ages and the annual pass is excellent value. This year meet Professor Crump, enjoy an Easter hunt and face painting too. Open 10am-5pm. More.


Stockwood discovery Centre

Visions of the Universe: A dazzling collection of images of stars, planets and galaxies. An awe-inspiring exhibition of science and breathtaking natural beauty. 10am - 5pm. Free entry. Details

Local Parks

Play in the Parks: A free open access play and physical activity scheme organised by Active St Albans for children aged 5 to 12 including drama games, arts and crafts as well as a variety of physical activity and sport workshops. Find out more.

Stockwood Discovery Centre

Country Fair: Enjoy rural life demonstrations, craft and gift stalls, farmers’, animal petting farm, bouncy castle, charity stalls and children’s activities. Admission £3.50 per adult, £3 concessions. £2.50 per child, under 5s go free. Some activities within the site will incur an extra charge. 11am-4.30pm

Radlett Centre

Jungle Book: Beautifully written, played and produced this show in Image Musical Theatre’s immensely popular format gives the opportunity for everyone to take part. During the light hearted half hour rehearsal, some children are chosen and rehearsed into their part while the rest of the audience is taught the choruses of four songs. During the interval the actors and children are costumed and the show, lasting 1 hour, runs seamlessly with everyone taking part as rehearsed. Suitable for ages 4+, show runs 1 hour 50 mins incl. interval. At 11am and 2pm. Buy tickets.
