A group of Buddhist monks took to the streets of St Albans to conduct a ceremonial blessing to celebrate the launch of Busaba, the award-winning Thai restaurant.
Opening its doors on St Albans’ Verulam Road, Busaba brings together the fragrant flavours and vibrant colours of modern Bangkok with a menu created by Executive Head Chef Jude Sangida. It’s become customary that each site is launched with a monk blessing ceremony, keeping with the restaurant’s ethos based on traditional Buddhist values, and the St Albans launch is no exception.
Attended this morning by guests of Busaba (including local residents and businesses), the spiritual ceremony was a unique event for the city of St Albans. Led by five monks, the hour-long ceremony included prayers, chanting and wishes of well-being to the City's community for the future.
Busaba’s cooking is inspired by the traditions of Thai cookery, taking diners on a sensory experience with the flavours of modern Bangkok.
