The Funding Network Hertfordshire (TFN Herts) returns with live crowdfunding event for Hertfordshire charities
TFN Herts returns in June, building on a successful launch in St Albans last year, to expand across the county and raise even more for brilliant local charities.
The event takes place on Thursday 8th June at the spectacular Rothamsted Conference Centre in Harpenden, offering guests a feel-good retreat to the beautiful Hertfordshire countryside while they wait for the general election results to come in.
In a 'Dragon’s Den' style event, the audience can watch each local charity make a pitch, ask questions to help decide how to pledge their support, followed by a live crowdfunding pledging session. The four charities carefully chosen this year, by a panel of local business and charity sector volunteers, are: CHIPS
, The Gifted
and ActOne ArtsBase
Local resident Richard Sved organised the event with a group of local volunteers, national charity The Funding Network, and generous support from local businesses Debenhams Ottaway, Grant Thornton, Kingston Smith and The Rothamsted Conference Centre.
Commenting on the event, Richard Sved said: “I am delighted that thanks to a fantastic launch in St Albans last year, we’re able to expand the reach of TFN across Hertfordshire, with charities covering Watford, Welwyn, Cheshunt and more represented.
Now people throughout Hertfordshire have the unique opportunity to hear from fantastic local causes directly, as well as enjoying a fun and inspiring evening. I hope that our success in bringing together causes struggling for funding and people who would like to support them, continues this year and for many years to come.”
Tickets for the event can be purchased for £10 via The Funding Network’s website by clicking here
Entry price includes exclusive access to the world class Rothamsted Conference Centre, refreshments, and, of course, the thrill of live charity crowdfunding.
