Heritage Open Days celebrates England’s architecture and culture by offering free access to places that are usually closed to the public, or would charge for admission.
England's biggest voluntary cultural event includes tours, events, lectures and activities that focus on architecture and culture, jointly attracting over 1 million visitors.
This year, Heritage Open Days takes place from 10 to 13 September and has been facilitated by St Albans Civic Society with support from the Herts Advertiser.
