A bold plan to develop the land between Noke Lane and the M25 was unveiled this week by Developer CWC Group at a meeting with St Albans Chamber of Commerce.
The plan, produced in partnership with St Albans City Football Club, includes 900 homes, a new 6000 seat stadium with 500 parking spaces, a primary school, employment area and recreation space.
Aside from the issues surrounding the development of Green Belt land, the project will have to overcome local opposition and access problems from the already congested A405/M25 interchange.
