Hertfordshire Sports Village is a multi-purpose student sports facility that is also open to the local community on a pay-as-you go or membership basis. At some times use of the Sports Village by the university may limit casual use. There are a wide range of facilities for fitness, swimming, climbing, racquet sports, football, basketball, volleyball, cricket and more.
Two types of membership are available:
- Sports Village membership offers discounts on pay and play sessions and provides advanced booking and payment privileges.
- A gym membership scheme gives unlimited use of the gym, group exercise classes and swimming.
Members can book any activity up to 7 days in advance by phone or in person and pay for that activity when they attend. Non-members have to pay for all bookings at the time the booking is made, must make all bookings in person and can only book 6 days in advance. Non-members can use all pay and play activities on payment of a guest fee.
Children's birthday parties, swimming lessons and mini-kickers sessions are available. People with disabilities have access to all areas of Hertfordshire Sports Village and can use all the services available. There is a disabled lift for ease of movement around the site, hoist for pool access and staff support.
