I've popped into the Museum of St Albans a few times in recent years, and it's always an interesting visit. The temporary exhibitions are normally pretty good (especially the Kubrick one) but the current one on St Albans in the 1960s (on until April 2012) really takes it up a notch. Beautifully curated, you really get a sense of St Albans's place in the times. Particularly liked the street photos and the little display about planning central St Albans, but perhaps I'm a bit sad like that. In my view, the rest of the museum could do with a tiny bit of a revamp to bring it into line with thoughtful quality exhibitions such as this, though. [Jan 12]
