The Aquadrome covers 100 acres of grassland and woodland, with three man-made lakes:
- Batchworth Lake is fished during the open season and is used by the water-skiing club
- Bury Lake is used for sailing, windsurfing and canoeing
- Stockers Lake is a bird and wildlife sanctuary owned by Three Valleys Water and managed by Herts and Middlesex Wildlife Trust
The aquadrome is a great place for family walks: the 1.3km Easy Access Trail has surfaced paths that follow a nature trail to a picnic area on the lake and a viewing platform on the River Colne. There is also a children's playground area (adjacent to Batchworth Lake) and café. Admission is free.
