This is a great way to spend an hour or two with young children. The steam engines are lovingly restored and there's a choice of carriage styles to suit all tastes and weather conditions, with open sided and closed compartments. The route is mainly suburban and we didn't find much to occupy us at Stonehenge Works (opting to return once the train was refuelled). However, the staff are friendly, Page's Park station has a good cafe and there's lots to tempt little ones; both in the shop and the adjacent children's playground. Recommended. [Oct 08]
