Tracy Furlong and Martin Hopton are professional jewellery makers committed to transporting their skills from London''s urban setting to rural Hertfordshire. The Old Dairy Barn in Beaumont Hall Farm, St Albans, is kitted it out as their ideal studio. They not only work designing and making their own pieces and bespoke commissions, they also offer classes to anyone keen to learn the art of jewellery making.
Day & evening jewellery classes
The St Albans School Of Jewellery aims to meet the diverse needs of all students / makers. The courses provide in depth tuition in jewellery, ranging from the beginner experimenting with a new hobby to the more technically able, experienced student. The classes have a maximum of 8 students per class to maintain an optimum student to tutor ratio. We are able to work on a one-to-one basis, enabling each student to work at their own pace.
Make your own wedding bands
£300 per couple plus material costs.
We run 8 week courses at a cost of £330 for the term and a Sunday class for £95. Morning classes on Wednesdays & Fridays Evening classes take place on Wednesday Day classes on alternate Sundays.

The Jewellery school welcomes students of all levels. Those that are new to jewellery making and more experienced students are encouraged to develop their own design and making skills through a number of challenging projects.
