Poor in every respect!

I visited Jackie Browns with my partner and two friends, I normally read reviews to help select a nice restaurant as we are a young family and going out is very infrequent now.
On arrival the restaurant was busy and full and seemed a great place. We were seated and from this point on everything went wrong.
Service was slow due to the full restaurant, no wine list!!! Just talked through the reds on the wall, then the owner came over and told us her wine was from a wine merchant and not cash and carry!! Alarm bells started to ring, as we don’t need to know this.
Horrible white house and red was drinkable, not a great start to the night, we did eventually get a nice light Italian bottle of white.
Starters came out, and two buffalo wings on my plate (expensive wings), and my partner had melon that was cut so close to the skin that it was chewy. And tough Parma ham, I did not know you could get this tough? (Certainly not acorn rating)
At this point I should point out I do not normally complain but please read on, its justified and honest and needs to be read!
Our mains came out and well I ordered the fish and chips, as I have not had it for so long. And it read very well on the menu Billingsgate fish.
I looked down at what was possibly the worst looking fish and chips I have ever seen, but I wanted to try it and enjoy the night, the batter was soggy and tasteless, the fish very flakey not firm in the least for Cod! Chips where oil ridden and soft I pushed my plate away after trying a quarter of it.
At no point did anyone check the table to see if we where happy! When the lady cleared up she asked about the meal I explained why mine was not very nice.
The bill came my meal on there no apology, I asked the waiter presenting the Bill did he receive my complaint?
He went of and got the headwaiter and he asked what was wrong I politely explained my concerns and dissatisfaction. The waiter argued and said he will take it off the Bill, I told him to leave it on I just want to leave now thank you. He took it off then offered free drinks and asked me if I would write a good review?!?!?! The nerve of this man!
He explained there are a few 5 star reviews, and I explained there are none when I found your restaurant. He insisted on arguing again, we got up and left never to look back…
Food is poor, service is poor and no wine list I will not go on! Bon Appétit! [Feb 11]
