Quirky, friendly Italian café serving a big menu of sandwiches, paninis, salads, pizza, pasta, jackets, smoothies, soft drinks, beer and Segafredo coffee from a tiny kitchen. Great place for people watching from their street-side tables when the sun's out.

Review Overview

tucked in - tuck in - review by rnk

We popped to Puccino's (or is it Bellaccino's?) yesterday for a quick cafe luch. It's superbly situated, within a stone's throw of the belltower, and tucked in nicely to give those inside and out a cosy feel. We had a toasted ham and cheese sandwich and a 'New Yorker' both served with a generous salad and some fries, and both quite tasty. Staff friendly too. Worth a visit, and the pavement cafe must be tempting for smokers. [Apr 10]

Great coffee and friendly service - review by south-sider

Puccino’s has great coffee and a very large food menu (not always a good thing, especially as the kitchen looks tiny!). It’s also got a small independent feel despite being part of a large chain. Arriving with a small child and pushchair we were warmly greeted and ordered two large cappuccinos and a delicious chocolate cake for a rather pricey £8.25. If coffee is not your thing you can sample the stronger stuff as Puccino’s also has a liquor license. Mums may struggle for a coffee morning as the compact dimensions are a bit of a non-starter for lots of prams/buggies and there's no baby changing. Waiter service makes the whole thing feel a bit more Italian than the other chains, as does the pavement tables and the child friendly staff.
