Beautiful gardens

We decided to get tickets for the park andamp; west garden and just admire the House from the outside, and felt it was good value. The west garden is really lovely - fantastic topiary, colonnades, statues, foundations, sun-dials and flowers, and lots of paths hither and thither. The park is also well maintained (even the bit they call the Wilderness) and you can do a 2 hour stroll without leaving the grounds, or just settle for a picnic. Hurry, while Summer lasts. [Sep 09]
