The BEST chippy in St Albans by far

I love this place! Firstly, the staff are just lovely - always friendly and helpful. Also, I have never seen a chippy that is spotlessly clean! I have no idea how they do it but there isn't a spot of grease to be seen anywhere! The fish is fried fresh so you might have a slight wait - but it's so worth it! Fresh, soft, perfect fish every time, and delicious chips (though far too many per portion!) Also, you can avoid the wait by calling them ahead of time to pre-order. I would never go anywhere else for fish and chips and, being from the North coast, that is a huge compliment! [Feb 12]

Cheongtastic

I love Cheongs, it's our local Chinese on Vesta Avenue. We usually order a takeaway on a Friday night and despite it being extremely busy, they always provide prompt service and really fab food. They have a chippy next door we've never tried but there's always an enormous queue so they must be something right! [June 11]
