Not sure what the fuss is about
I went here on the rave reviews of friends and I'm not sure what the fuss is about. My coffee did not taste great and the seating area feels as if you are in a corridor. On the plus side the cakes looked great and I think they are made by a local mum so are truly home-made. [Feb 10]
Great cafe
My favourite cafe in St Albans. Cool and intimate with friendly staff and well made drinks. [May 09]
friendly, clean, tasty
We stopped here at the weekend for a quick break, and liked it very much. Extremely friendly service (happy to wait for us to finish as they closed up) and delicious (milk and fruit based?) smoothies. We'll be back to try some of their other offerings. [May 09]
Lovely Italian cafe on the high street
If you're tired of fighting the crowds in Costa or queuing out of the door in Starbucks then try an altogether more relaxing coffee experience. Tucked away towards the upper end of St Peters Street is this hidden gem. A perfect latte (hot or iced) was served with a warm smile by the friendly Italian owner. She seemed to know all her other customers on a first name basis. Sadly we didn’t get a chance to try the food but the menu looked good – toasted sandwiches, ciabattas and pasta - all good, simple Italian fare. We'll be back soon... [Oct 08]
