Great food

Go here regularly for food when mid-week gets too much. The burger are seriously excellent and a real bargain. Also been for breakfast which was also great, sat in the garden sunshine. Chilled and unpretentious place mid-week bit more party at the weekend. [Sep 11]

Top burgers!

Went in on a Tuesday night - fairly quiet but good atmosphere. Ordered the 'two burgers for £10'. Superb - freshly made burgers, thick cut chips andamp; relish. What more could you want? Makes you realise how poor a lot of the food you get in other pubs is. Will be back. [Oct 10]

warm welcome and great fish and chips

We went for drinks and late supper one weds and we really liked this place - it has improved since the last time I went so I guess perhaps fairly new management? Lots of large wood tables, big squashy leather sofas. I had really excellent fish and chips - very good quality fish, home-made minted mushy peas, and fat crunchy home-made chips. Very generous portion. My friend had a deli platter which was big enough to share really. The staff were great and very smiley - we kept changing places but they were unphased! [Apr 09]
