The Lake Restaurant

The Lake Restaurant at St Michael's Manor Hotel, run by Restaurant Manager Fabrice Guieu, serves award winning Modern British cuisine in an elegant and tranquil dining room with its own conservatory overlooking the hotel's private garden and lake. The restaurant has a fixed price two or three course 'Lake Menu' which changes weekly and is sourced from local suppliers. Also on offer are à la carte and Sunday lunch menus. Three different varieties of afternoon tea are served in the hotel lounge or on the terrace (weather permitting). Note: The brasserie-style fixed price Lake Menu is not available on Saturday evening or Sunday lunchtime.

Great food, great service and good value

Had a really enjoyable meal here midweek when we took advantage of the special deal in Feb. We ended up eating from the fixed menu though which meant it was even better value for money and the food choices were really good so we didn't feel we'd missed out. The atmosphere was relaxed and calm with pre-dinner drinks in the lounge. The service was attentive, but not overbearing and although it's normally somewhere I'd think of for a special occasion, now that I've tried the set menu I'll go back again in the week. A lovely venue and worth going back. [Mar 10]

Excellence!

Can't speak highly enough of the fabulous food and service at The Lake restaurant at St Michael's manor. From the moment we arrived the attention to detail was first rate and the food was to die for! All topped off with spectacular views over the lake. My wife is already asking when we're going back... [Jan 10]
