Food
Very nice, very cheap and of course all food is sourced locally. [May 09]

lovely place but lose the fruit machines!
We really like the food here and the tables and seating areas are really lovely - stylish too. But the area round the back with the fruit machines is pretty grim. Surely they can get rid of that bit, put in a few more tables, and still make some money. It's like two different pubs in one place. [May 09]

good locally sourced pub food
The Hare and Hounds seems to be a thriving pub - it was quite full on a Wednesday evening when three of us came for a drink and a meal. The food was excellent. Locally sourced meat and seasonal vegetables (from Sandridgebury Farm, I think) all tasted great. We ordered a beefburger, bangers and mash, and a risotto. Perhaps there weren't enough 'pub food' style dishes for vegetarians, though. The pub is slightly dominated by its televisions, and could perhaps squeeze in a few more dining tables, but it's well worth a visit. [Feb 09]
