St Mark's was consecrated on 30 December 1845 by the Bishop of London. It serves the Colney Heath parish between St Albans and Hatfield. The church holds a variety of services, organises special events and has special age-appropriate groups for children and young people (see website for details).
Smartees offers friendship and support for those caring for young children every Wednesday from 10-11.30 am (term-time). Tea, coffee, squash and biscuits or cakes are available. Sessions include a singing time and activities. Mini-Smartees for those with very young babies meets at the same times in an adjacent room and there is a Community Nursery Nurse available for advice and for weighing babies. There is no charge - small contributions welcomed. Contact Judy Smith.
