St Albans Wood Recycling is a not-for-profit self-supporting social enterprise registered as a Community Interest Company (CIC). They collect, sort and sell waste wood and find creative ways to recycle it by making products like simple furniture or other wood products for sale. The timber that cannot be sold directly or indirectly, either gets used as firewood or gets transformed into wood chip and used as biofuel.  Volunteer and work placements are available.
