Founded in 1964, the City of St Albans Tour Guides provide local guided walking tours in and around St Albans. Guides are fully trained to have both historical knowledge and practical guiding techniques. They offer a range of themed walks year round, together with discovery talks at local museums.
Most walks take 60 to 90 minutes and cost £3 per adult and £1.50 for children aged 5 to 15. Some are free and/or require pre-booking - see their website calendar of events for details.
Two themed children's trails are also available: 'I spy with Clarence' is for younger children and 'Historic St Albans' for older children. They are 50p each from the Tourist and Information Centre, where the trails start and finish.
