Excellent service, great food
Four of us went to Pin Petch on Saturday night. We included Massaman and Chicken Panang in our order and both were superb with good quality meat and plenty of it. In addition, service was excellent; very attentive and timely. Prices quite good for Thai restaurants. I like the handy location of this restaurant; it is near both the Lower Red Lion and the cathedral pubs (White Lion, White Hart Tap etc). The only thing we didn't like were the canteen tables (as per Wagamamas). Had there been people right next to us, we would not have enjoyed the evening so much. However, we were lucky because it was fairly quiet. (I guess Thai Square has taken some of its trade.) Overall, tasty well-priced food with excellent service. [Apr 10]

Friday night late show
We ordered a delivery from this restaurant last Friday, and were a little disappointed overall. When we placed our order, we were told 15 minutes, which seemed a little optimistic, but it took well over an hour and one prompting phone call to arrive. The food itself then needed a quick zap in the microwave to heat up, but wasn't too bad, though, to be fair. The chicken in ginger, and beef in oyster sauce were both fairly tasty, the prawn crackers nice and crisp, and the Thai green curry was properly hot. The lamb mussaman was oily though, and its potatoes seemed to be tinned. We were a bit too hungry to care too much by this point though, so scoffed most of it. [Mar 10]

Good service, pretty location, tasty food
For the warm welcome and tasty food, I prefer this over nearby Wagamamas. Very popular in the evenings, it is quieter at lunchtime, but they offer a good value set lunch. Fresh, tasty food, served with care. [Mar 09]
