Run by the University of Hertfordshire, the Margaret Harvey Gallery occupies the law building close to the centre of St Albans. It is a small but flexible white cube space that shows a changing programme of contemporary art in various different media. It is the venue of the annual Open Exhibition, organised by UH Galleries with St Albans District Council, Welwyn Hatfield Council and Hertfordshire County Council. All artists living or working in Hertfordshire can participate. Admission is free.
