its a harverster. its horrific
Delivers all the mediocrity and artificially flavoured muck you would expect. If you go here and enjoy it there's probably something wrong with you. (Salad bar is guilty pleasure though) [Sep 11]

WHAT A NIGHT
After several phone calls and visits to the venue, we booked for 14 collegues to get together for the christmas menu. We were told we would probably end up on 3-5 seperate tables but close together, so although disappointed we thought we had no other option so agreed. On arrival we were 'greeted' by a young man with very little personality, telling us that the parsnip soup was off and been replaced with tomato, that was the start then we had to wait till 8pm for the table to be free (we were booked for 7.30pm, the service and attitude of the staff serving us was appauling and the food was awful, the xmas dinner consisted of prepacked turkey it was advertised as spit roasted turkey breast, the potatoes, brussels and stuffing were not fresh but frozen and the gravy had been standing so long it was solidified and not at all appertising, the desserts were just as awful as were the cold starters, i go to this resturant every 6 weeks with friends for lunch but have to say that the last few times we have been there has been one or more problems, the honey and mustard dressing was in fact some king of vinigrete dressing and ruined the salad which was unediable. Myself and all my collegues work in the care proffesion and it took a lot of organisation to get us all together and it was so disappointing it was only the fact that we are a close knit group that we managed to make the best of things. I've given one star but to be honest that is being generous. But none of us will be entering this resturant again unless it seriously gets its act together. Oh and i forgot to say there was no christmas pudding either!! [Dec 09]

Horrific, an embarrassing culinary blight on the locale
Am absolutely disgusted, not a good reflection of the rest of the chain of restaurants. I have been there once a year and every single time I ask myself why I have gone back for more. In the past our waiter refused to write our order down and we waited well over an hour for the wrong food because he ironically got our order wrong because he's too good to use a pen and paper don't you know? To then ask why there wasn't a tip? followed by the manager asking why we weren't satisfied with the service we received, absurd in the extreme. I was told in a ridiculously sarcastic and crude voice, 3-4 weeks ago by a member of staff that they will not book in our staff Christmas meal because there's a first come, first served basis and besides the biggest table we have is for eight so we'd have to split your party up anyway.. and proceeded to hang up the phone on me which I found shocking! I suggest if you like screaming children and extremely POOR and RUDE service you go and pay over the odds for a chicken you could probably have done better on your barbeque at home. [Nov 09]
