Small independent café at the top end of St Peter's Street with pavement tables so that you can people-watch.

best coffee I've had for ages
Stopped for a takeaway coffee this morning for the first time. It was delicious - strong and full of flavour - will definitely go again. What a find. [Mar 10]

Nice place, shame about the bogs
Cafe Roma is well situated - not many other cafes at that end of St Peter Street, and is normally fairly full. Service was friendly, and our tuna melt in particular was tasty, though there's not that much to choose from to eat. It's a good place to hide in and read the Sunday papers away from the weekend shoppers. A star knocked off for the toilet, which, when we went, had seen better days. [Dec 09]

Love love love this cafe!!
We love this independent cafe, towards the top end of the high street. Great coffee and a variety of snacks on offer. Coffee better than and the typical chain coffee houses and nice staff. Only downside is that it has no baby change facilities so probably isn't frequented by a lot of mummies which is a shame. Also they have a reward scheme - a card which they stamp and once you've bought 9 coffees the 10th is free. Hurrah for Cafe Roma!! [Oct 09]
