Fab place to go with Kids

We've recently come back from having lunch and a trip around the Abbey with my two kids and some overseas family visitors and had a great time. My two children, 1 and 4 loved looking (running) around the Abbey, my family who were visiting from Amercia thought the Abbey and its grounds were amazing. We finished off with a meal in the cafe, which was lovely. The cafe was quite busy so it wasn't off putting with kids and they did some good kids and adults options, I'm veggie and they had some good options for me too. The ladies serving us were lovely, very friendly and made for a very enjoyable visit. [Jul 10]

Popular local meeting place

Popped into the Café at the Abbey for a mid-morning snack on a Friday. It was already busy with mature diners tucking into their hot lunch of fish and chips. The coffee and cake wasn't the best in town but prices were very reasonable and there was a small play area near the doors with highchairs, toys and books to keep our little one happy. A useful place to refuel if you are in the park or taking in the history of the Abbey. [Dec 08]
