Fantastic new restaurant

I accidentally came accross this restaurant when i went to buy some shoes for my daughter from Footsteps in Heritage Close. Sagra has a good childrens menu so we had lunch there and i was surprised and very impressed. The staff were lovely and the restaurant has a relaxed ambience. My meal was really tasty, i was delighted- a week earlier we had eaten at Prezzo which was hugely disappointing. I have recomended Sagra to all my friends and went back last week with my parents for a Birthday meal. We all enjoyed everything about our evening; there was also a jazz trio playing which added to an all round, great night out. I really hope this independent restaurant does well- it is tucked out of the way but well worth discovering. [Jul 11]

Delicious food. Friendly waiters

Myself and 5 girlfriends booked Buon Amici for our Christmas meal and were not disappointed. We opted for the Christmas menu at £22.95 for three courses and all felt it was good value and delicious. Starters included baked camembert and figs with goats cheese and honey dressing - all were mouth watering and delivered to the table by a friendly waiter. Most of us chose the beef medalions for a main. The beef was cooked to perfection and the vegetables served at the table by the waiters. All piping hot and the roast potatoes were to die for Desert was an absolute delight and the waiter let one of our party change her mind on seeing another choice. They even let us take the extra desert home - what service! My only slight grumble was that some of the drinks took a time to get to the table and a couple of times we had to chase them up. I'll forgive them for this because it was a packed restaurant and the food was second to none. I will definitely be back! [Dec 10]

Friendly and delicious food

My husband and I popped in here for lunch with our 3yrs girl and 4 week old boy. The owner was really friendly having children herself and although it is a small restaurant they made space for the buggy and brought the food quickly. The child's meal was quite large but the price wasn't, so all in all good value. We enjoyed a delicious seafood salad and will be back to try more. [Mar 09]
