The Aquadrome - Rickmansworth

The Aquadrome - Rickmansworth

The Aquadrome covers 100 acres of grassland and woodland, with three man-made lakes:

  • Batchworth Lake is fished during the open season and is used by the water-skiing club
  • Bury Lake is used for sailing, windsurfing and canoeing
  • Stockers Lake is a bird and wildlife sanctuary owned by Three Valleys Water and managed by Herts and Middlesex Wildlife Trust

The aquadrome is a great place for family walks: the 1.3km Easy Access Trail has surfaced paths that follow a nature trail to a picnic area on the lake and a viewing platform on the River Colne. There is also a children's playground area (adjacent to Batchworth Lake) and café. Admission is free.

Overview

Dates & Times:The aquadrome is open daily year-round. The outdoor café is open Wed to Sun and on Bank Holidays from 10am-5pm.

Lovely park / woods / lake and cafe!

Rickmansworth Aquadrome is a great day out! The paths are suitable for bikes and buggies, you can walk through woods, round the aquadrome and have a picnic or eat at the fantastic cafe. There is usually sailing, water skiing or canoeing to watch as well. Kids love it! [Mar 11]
