A good pub!
This is our local, and that's exactly what this place is, a great local with friendly staff and good beer. The fish and chips on Friday are fantastic - we always book a table when we go - you might be disappointed if you turn up without booking. The beer garden is large and grassy - just in case the sun ever comes out again! [Apr 10]

fab fish and chips
Regulars come here for the beer and warm welcome but I go for the best fish and chips I have ever eaten! They are avail on a friday and they are very popular. It's a fairly small pub so you might struggle to get a table - its ideal on a summer evening when you can eat them in the garden the Quiz night is popular - a tricky quiz but a good atmosphere and the pub is packed. Nice quiet pint...
If you're looking for a saturday night out in St Albans where you can still hear yourselves think then the White Hart Tap is the place to go. Just a stone's throw from the town centre and many other conservation area pubs, the WHT is a refuge from the thumping nightlife to be found elsewhere. Friendly staff and a good selection of real ales on offer for the CAMRA brigade. Food is also available and I have heard good things about their Sunday roast. Well worth a visit. [Mar 09]
