Verulam Writers' Circle (VWC) has supported writers in and around St Albans for over 50 years, whether they write for pleasure or profit. Its main meetings are on alternate Wednesdays at St Michael's Church Hall, with additional meetings in between at The White Hart Hotel. All meetings start at 8pm.

VWC welcomes writers of all levels of experience and provides support through manuscript surgeries, workshops and guest speakers, as well as a member-only online community. Non-members are welcome to attend for a small visitor fee.

VWC also runs the popular Get Writing series of conferences each February including the much-copied 'three minute pitch' to senior agents and editors.
