Disappointing

Visited in Aug 2011. Arranged a special occasion and felt really let down by what should have been very straightforward for the event planners. Location and refurbishments are very nice but badly let down by service. Some staff clearly try very hard: they can't make up for the overall feeling that the hotel management is rather cynical about its reputation. The quality of the food was excellent on the occasion itself but it took far too much aggravation with the event planning team to get to that point. For the price, the service was far from good value. I won't be back. [Jan 12]

Perfect setting for a small wedding

We went here for a small wedding, and it proved to be a lovely setting. The bar, lounge and gardens worked well for the guests at various parts of the day - before, during and after. The food was excellent and the service attentive. [Oct 08]
