Shaw's Corner Shaw's Corner

Built in 1902 and home to the playwright George Bernard Shaw for more than 40 years, this Edwardian house has many of the dramatist's literary and personal possessions, including his Oscar and Nobel prize. The 3.5 acre garden has an orchard, flower meadow, rose dell, herbaceous beds and Shaw's revolving Writing Hut. Events throughout the season, including open-air theatre during the summer. Plants and second-hand books on sale. Family activity packs available. Suitable for school groups. Cold drinks and ice-creams.

Admission (2010): adult £5.50, child £2.75, family £13.75. Group rates available. Half-price admission to cyclists and taxibus users.
