These stables have two full size all-weather riding surfaces with floodlights. There is also a cross country course, six miles of grass tracks, a set of showjumps and a permanent jumping arena. Qualified instructors provide group and private lessons and children are welcome to take part in 'own a pony' weeks during the Easter and summer vacations. Excellent teaching
Sandridgebury is under new management and it's fast turning into THE place to learn and ride in the area. There are well schooled ponies for novices, and plenty to keep the more experienced riders happy too. The quality of the teaching is next to none, it really is impressive. And if you just want to hack out, the surrounding lanes, farm land and woodland (including new bridle paths opening up as part of the Hartwood project) are well worth exploring. Importantly, it's also very friendly and welcoming, unlike some other yards around St Albans. I couldn't recommend it enough. [Oct 09]
