Little Steps Nursery is a small, privately owned nursery for up to 29 children aged from three months to five years. It was established in 1999 and operates from a large house in a residential area of St Albans close to the town centre and station. The nursery has a baby room,  play room, loft room, art studio, conservatory and spacious garden for outside play. Children follow the play-based Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum. An inspection by Ofsted in September 06 found the quality and standards of both care and nursery education to be good.
