Highfield Park, on the eastern side of St Albans, has 60 acres of open space managed by the Highfield Park Trust. The park has footpaths, cycleways, boules courts, a 2 mile tree trail, orchards, millennium maze, mediterranean garden and a wide variety of wildlife. It is also home to Highfield Park Centre (which manages the park's sports facilities) and Trestle Arts Base.
