De-Light-ful

You could easily miss this small Chinese takeaway but it would be your loss. Good ingredients freshly cooked with care, coupled with friendly service add up to make this the best Chinese takeaway in the St Albans area and a regular port of call for those in the know. Particular favourites are the grilled dumplings, crispy king prawn with chilli and salt, mushroom fried rice and the crispy Mongolian lamb pancakes. Phone your order in and it's ready in 15-20 minutes. Parking immediately outside can be a bit complicated - it's easier to use the service road across the way. A well-deserved five stars. [Feb 11]

quick, fresh, and better than the average chinese takeaway

Being non-stop-24-hour party animals, we decided to get a takeaway from Flamelight on New Year's Eve. It was fresh and tastier than your average takeaway, without doubt. The food was made quickly and service was fast - they served at least five others in the 10 minutes I was there to collect it. Though why weren't the other customers out partying on New Year's Eve either? [Jan 09]

Top takeaway!

It's our local and we love it! Great chinese takeaway - fresh, crisp stirfrys (we collect, we don't wait for delivery) bursting with good flavour, the obligatory crispy duck pancakes don't disappoint either. Prices are pretty reasonable too. They don't have a website unlike other local takeaways, but this can only be a good thing as it's our undiscovered secret. Well worth a try... [Nov 08]
