This small café in central Harpenden was voted the most family friendly venue of the year in 2009 and 2010 at the Food and Drink Awards. Recommended.
Inn on the Park - Verulamium Park
This family friendly café is a great all round snack spot when you're out and about in Verulamium park. Pop in for a coffee and some cake.
Close to Clarence Park, this is a great place to have brunch or afternoon tea. Kids will enjoy rummaging in the toy box while you read the papers.
The Secret Garden Cafe - Award Winner!
New in 2009, this lovely little courtyard cafe tucked away just off George Street was voted 'Cafe of the Year' at the 2010 Food & Drink Awards.
The Courtyard Cafe at The Yoga Hall
This cafe next to the Yoga Hall on the Hatfield Road with its own vegetable garden serves hot and cold drinks, snacks, light lunches and sweet treats.
Merchant Tea and Coffee Company
The occupants of St Albans Town Hall offer a range of teas, coffee and snacks served beneath gently wafting colonial fans. Outdoor seating available.
Something of a local institution, the Waffle House sticks to what it does best. A scenic spot by Verulamium Park and plenty of parking does the rest.
