We are and we've fully embraced café culture in St Albans. Whether you prefer a big chain or a small independent, they're all here and we're busy checking them out for you (that's our excuse).
We've also got listings for local restaurants and takeaways.
Soko Coffee - WINNER: Coffee Bar of The Year
We love this independent mobile coffee company based in St Albans. Fantastic coffee, super friendly service and all in a very cute little van!
The Gingerbread Man - WINNER: Family Friendly
This small café in central Harpenden was voted the most family friendly venue of the year in July 2009 by local residents. Recommended!
Close to Clarence Park, this is a great place to have brunch or afternoon tea. Kids will enjoy rummaging in the toy box while you read the papers.
Inn on the Park - Verulamium Park
This family friendly café is a great all round snack spot when you're out and about in Verulamium park. Pop in for a coffee and some cake.
The Courtyard Cafe at The Yoga Hall
New in 2009, this cafe next to the Yoga Hall on the Hatfield Road serves hot and cold drinks, snacks, light lunches and sweet treats.
Where else can you have a drink and a snack surrounded by ladies nighties and unusual photographic close-ups? Unique.
New in 2009, this is a lovely little cafe with its own courtyard tucked away just off George Street. Newspapers and artwork supplied!
Something of a local institution, the Waffle House sticks to what it does best. A scenic spot by Verulamium Park and plenty of parking does the rest.
