Local charity St Albans Arts (STARTS) is dedicated to raising the profile of the arts in the city. It has a register of artists and runs regular art fairs and other exhibitions at the Town Hall. The Margaret Harvey Gallery, managed by University of Herts, hosts local and touring contemporary art exhibitions. Leading Art Events organises shows at local venues in and around St Albans.
Many local artists take part in The Herts Visual Arts Forum (HVAF) annual open studios event, and their regular exhibitions.
Provides support for artists of all abilities, arranges studio sessions, talks, demonstrations and exhibitions of members' work.
This club promotes the enjoyment of photography through weekly club evenings, informal presentations and light-hearted competitions.
The Big V - public art for St Albans
A project to install a large sculpture in Verulamium Park in 2010. The organisers need to raise £240,000 and welcome any support.
Art Club at Maltings Arts Theatre
MAT offers term-time weekly afternoon arts clubs for four age groups: 18mths-4 yrs, 5-7 yrs, 5-10 yrs and 8-12 yrs. Holiday workshops also available.

Applications are invited for this annual event. Artists can submit up to 6 framed pieces, 3 pieces of sculpture. 23 to 26 Sep, Old Town Hall.
