UH Galleries at the Museum of St Albans, managed by St Albans Council and the University of Herts, hosts local and touring contemporary art exhibitions.
Many local artists are member of Creative St Albans and take part in The Herts Visual Arts Forum (HVAF) annual Open Studios event, and their regular exhibitions.

Provides support for artists of all abilities, arranges studio sessions, talks, demonstrations and exhibitions of members' work.
This club promotes the enjoyment of photography through weekly club evenings, informal presentations and light-hearted competitions.
This Art School, based in Barnet, offers tuition in painting and drawing for adults and young people. A small number of classes are held in St Albans.
