St Albans Reuse (previously St Albans Freecycle)

Changing the world one gift at a time

Before you bin it – see if anyone else wants it and save yourself a trip to the tip. It's the free, easy and fun way to help someone else and keep usable items out of landfill.

That's the message from the members of the St Albans Reuse Network (previously St Albans Freecycle), part of Freegle, who give away anything from three-piece suites to wetsuits.

The only rules are that everything posted must be free, legal and appropriate for all ages (no children or pets).  Members are asked to offer at least one item to the network before posting any wanted messages – in the spirit of 'give and then receive'.  Once an item is offered, it is up to the giver to decide who receives their unwanted item – often having to pick one recipient from the many who email to offer a good home.
